I had a fun opportunity to push my design and painting skills for a Secret Santa gift exchange at work for the second year in a row. When I drew my recipient I instantly knew I had to figure out how to paint the "This is Fine" comic, created by KC Green on a pair of shoes. This particular coworker is 100% the person you want in your corner when there is a dumpster fire at work.

 

With fresh confidence from last year's custom shoe project, I got a bit more ambitious with the number of colors used on the shoes and the complexity of the illustration. I also learned from last year the necessity of properly prepping the leather and sealing the finished project to make the shoes more durable.
