HELLO THERE!
Done looking at my portfolio?

Trying to make a decision on whether or not to hire me? Let me help!
I have been working as a graphic designer for 6+ years. I got my start as a volunteer designer in 2016 with a gig designing shirts and hoodies that were worn by hundreds. In 2018 I transitioned into paid roles with both in-house and freelance jobs while in college. Once I graduated with my B.A. degree in Media Arts from Pacific University I began freelancing as my university affiliated positions and internships ended. Most recently, I've been on contract at Nike as Bowerman Creation University Visual Communicator.

FAQ
Do you have experience in a collaborative creative/agency setting?

Yes! I have worked in collaborative creative settings and have used Agile/SCRUM project management methods alongside using project management tools like Miro and Airtable. I am a team player and enjoy working with other talented creatives to implement critiques, meet deadlines, and create an overall positive work environment.
Do you have experience as an
in-house designer?

Yes! And no matter what organization I work for, I always learn the nuances of the brand and stick to the requirements of their style guide. I consider myself very brand loyal when it comes to jobs where the team and employer create a welcoming workplace.
Do you have experience working with clients?

Yes, I have worked for multiple clients and I've learned a lot along the way. When it comes to freelancing, I pride myself in my project organization, clear communication, and concept presentation skills. Some of the clients I've worked with are: Navico, Friends of Historic Forest Grove, Keto JF, LBlevinsMusic, and CHSMB. I love forging relationships with new clients.
Can I commission you for a project?
Yes! I am open to commissions! Everything is currently on a a case-by-case basis since I am working a full-time job at Nike. I always prioritize transparency when it comes to client work so we can be on the same page about project timelines, deliverables, and pricing. Feel free to reach out!

How do you manage in a stressful work environment?

If s**t hits the fan in the workplace, major deadlines approach, and there are metaphorical fires to put out, I keep myself calm by prioritizing, making task lists, and maintaining open communication with those involved in the problem. When I clock off I relieve stress by bouldering, reading, boxing, and baking.
Do you have experience with web building/coding?

I am not a web developer and I only know very minimal basic HTML and CSS. However, I am experienced with designing WIX and Shopify sites using their visual web builder tools. This portfolio site was created from scratch using WIX, and my brand's site pintailpaddle.com was created using Shopify.
